In the Eurozone, annual inflation reached 4.9 percent in November, the highest level in the last 25 years.
The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has released the leading data on the annual inflation of the Eurozone in November.
Accordingly, annual inflation in the Eurozone, which was 4.1 percent in October, was 4.9 percent in November.
Looking at the main components of inflation in the Eurozone in November, the highest annual inflation was in energy with 27.4 percent. Energy was followed by services with 2.7 percent, non-energy industrial products with 2.4 percent and food, alcohol and tobacco products with 2.2 percent.
Inflation is 6 percent in Germany, 3.4 percent in France, 5.6 percent in Spain, 4 percent in Italy, 5.6 percent in the Netherlands, 7.1 percent in Belgium, and Latvia in November. It was measured at the level of 7.4 percent in Lithuania and 9.3 percent in Lithuania.
Thus, inflation in the Eurozone in November rose to the highest level measured since the last 25 years of data collection.
In the Eurozone, inflation reached the highest level of recent years in August, September and October.
The recent rise in inflation has also disturbed Europeans.
The increase in general price levels, especially in energy products, draws attention in Europe.
