The summit, organized in cooperation with the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK) and the European Business Summit (EBS), focused on the future of trade and investments between the two sides.
The event brought together senior government officials and global business leaders, including Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and Deputy Minister of Trade Mustafa Tuzcu (joining via teleconference), Türkiye’s Permanent Representative to the EU Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, DEİK President Nail Olpak, DEİK Coordinator for Türkiye–Europe Business Councils Mehmet Ali Yalçındağ, and EBS Director General Arnaud Thysen.
Speaking at the summit, Yalçıntaş highlighted OYAK’s contribution to the industrial ecosystems of Türkiye and Europe, stating:
“We are investing in cleaner technologies, higher energy efficiency, and circular production models.”
He emphasized that these investments support Türkiye’s industrial transformation while strengthening Europe’s sustainable supply chains.
He noted that through companies such as Almatis, Miilux OY, Omsan, Akdeniz Chemson, and Amsterdam Scrap Terminal, they are contributing to Europe’s industrial strength and sustainable growth in areas including steel, chemicals, logistics, and advanced materials.
“No economy can succeed on its own,” he said, stressing that Türkiye and the EU can turn shared challenges into opportunities through cooperation.
In its statement, OYAK also underlined that the summit provided an important platform for strengthening Türkiye–EU economic relations within the framework of sustainability, competitiveness, and mutual investment.
