Hoa Phat Group plans to increase the capacity of its railway and special steel rail production project located in the Dung Quat Economic Zone.
Under the company’s proposal, the project area will be expanded by more than 76.9 hectares, while an additional annual production capacity of 2 million tons will be created. The expansion is expected to involve an investment of approximately VND 20 trillion.
Existing capacity stands at 700,000 tons
The project currently has a designed production capacity of 700,000 tons per year. The existing project covers approximately 15 hectares and is expected to involve an investment of more than VND 10 trillion.
Hoa Phat aims to produce rails for high speed railways and shaped steel rails at the facility by 2027.
Total capacity in Dung Quat to reach 12.8 million tons
Hoa Phat Group currently has seven approved projects in Dung Quat.
The projects have a combined planned investment of approximately VND 194 trillion, while their total steel production capacity is expected to reach approximately 12.8 million tons per year.
