Türkiye's HRC imports increased by 6.8% in the January-April period

SteelRadar compiled data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and reported that Türkiye's hot-rolled coil (HRC) imports in April 2024 increased by 9.3% compared to the same month of the previous year, rising from 342,279 tons to 373,970 tons. However, this figure decreased by 14.4% compared to the previous month of March.

In January-April period total HRC import a 6.8% increase, rising from 1,384,363 tons to 1,478,901 tons y/y.

The leading importer of HRC to Türkiye was China with 215,608 tons, followed by Taiwan with 47,182 tons, Russia with 37,659 tons, South Korea with 22,124 tons and Egypt with 19,373 tons.
