In Mandi Gobindgarh, billet and ingot prices remained stable at INR 41,700, trading around USD 488/ton. The price of melting scrap held firm at USD 392/ton, while old scrap was steady at USD 351/ton. CRC scrap was assessed higher at USD 421/ton, and sponge iron prices also rose to USD 343/ton.
The price of 12mm TMT bars in the region remained unchanged at USD 551/ton. However, long products like angles saw a decline of INR 100–200. For instance, the basic angle price dropped to USD 466/ton, while U-channel and I-beam prices fell to USD 589/ton.
MS ingot prices across regions showed a mixed trend. In Durgapur, prices rose by INR 200, reaching USD 443/ton. In contrast, Ghaziabad saw a decline of INR 200 to USD 477/ton, and Kanpur recorded a drop of INR 300, bringing prices down to USD 472/ton. Prices in Ludhiana slipped by INR 100 to around USD 482/ton.
As for 12mm TMT bar prices, the only increase was noted at the Amba Shakti plant in Punjab, where prices rose by INR 100 to reach USD 608/ton. In Ahmedabad-Briskon, a decline of INR 300 was recorded, with prices falling to USD 643/ton. Prices in major markets like Mumbai, Kolkata, and Durgapur remained stable.
