SSAB, fosilsiz çelik üretimini hedefliyor

SSAB Oxelösund, karbondioksit emisyonlarını azaltmak için çevre izni aldı.

SSAB Oxelösund'a, Kara ve Çevre Mahkemesi tarafından çelik üretim işini dönüştürmek ve 2025 yılına kadar karbondioksit emisyonlarını azaltmak için çevre izni verildiği, bu durumun firmayı 2045 yılına kadar fosilsiz çelik üretimi hedefine yaklaştıracağı bildirildi.

SSAB Oxelösund, karbondioksit emisyonlarını azaltmak için üretim değişiklikleri için ilk kez başvurdu. SSAB Oxelösund, HİBRİT teknolojisi ile geliştirilen sünger demiri kullanarak ve üretimde hammadde olarak demir cevheri ve kömürü hurda demir ile değiştirerek emisyonları yaklaşık % 80 oranında azaltabilecek.
