In contrast, on an annual basis, industrial production declined. In February, output fell by 0.6% in the Eurozone and by 0.1% across the European Union compared to the same period last year.
Among member states, the highest monthly increase was recorded in Ireland with 5.7%, followed by Finland at 3.3% and Sweden at 3.2%.
On the other hand, the sharpest decline was seen in Malta at 6%. Luxembourg and Greece also stood out with decreases of 4.6% and 2.1%, respectively.
