Türkiye's flat steel imports decreased by 21.4% in February

According to data compiled by SteelRadar from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), Türkiye's flat steel imports decreased by 21.4% yoy in February 2024, from 712,770 tons to 560,028 tons. It decreased by 23% compared to the previous month.

In January-February 2024, total imports decreased by 7.8% y-o-y from 1,397,146 tons to 1,287,638 tons.

Türkiye's top flat steel import destination in February was China with an increase of 62.6%, followed by South Korea with a 21.3% decrease, Egypt with an increase of 1148%, France with a 32.3% increase and Russia with a 73.3% decrease.
