EU scrap exporters are concerned

In order to ensure a high quality scrap supply in the EU and as part of the EU's decarbonisation targets, the revised Waste Shipment Regulation (WSR) aims to ban the export of EU scrap to countries that do not meet EU WSR standards.

However, EU scrap recyclers are worried that the EU market, which is already going through a difficult period, will get stuck even further with possible export restrictions coming under the WSR revision process.
