ArcelorMittal will invest $38.5 million to modernize its coke plant in Poland.
The upgrade includes the installation of three flue gas denitrification units for the cogeneration plant, which will reduce nitrogen oxide emissions and provide heat to over 7,000 consumers.
The company will also launch a reconstruction project of the coking gas stabilization tank. ArcelorMittal aims to complete all modernization projects at the facility within three years.
Additionally, the company will stop blast furnace No. 2 of its factory in Dąbrowa Górnicza for maintenance and allocate over $167 million for the largest upgrade ever performed in Poland.
