Oman’s leading steel company, Al Jazeera Steel Products Co., has announced the official opening of its new medium section steel mill in the KIZAD area of Abu Dhabi, with an annual production capacity of 450,000 tons.
Mohammed Nabeel Khan, the company’s Marketing Manager, stated that once operational, the new line will add to the existing Oman facility’s Merchant bar and tube mill products, providing a strong and diversified product portfolio for both regional and international markets.
He also noted that the strategic location of the state-of-the-art facility, particularly its proximity to KIZAD Port, provides logistical and export advantages. Additionally, he emphasized that the plant, recognized as the first GCC railway steel mill in the region, is expected to have a significant impact across the Gulf countries and beyond.
These developments are projected to strengthen Al Jazeera Steel’s growth strategy, enhance production diversity, and contribute significantly to the steel industry in the GCC region.
